Movie analysis #3 - The Bling Ring (Film Technique)

 

For film technique I analyzed The Bling Ring directed by Sofia Coppola. It is very stylish and youthful. 

 

 

The movie uses very deliberate shot composition and editing. It often mixes slow, aesthetic shots with sharp cuts to show the contrast between glamorous appearances and darker realities. This matches the themes in my project about social media, image, and the difference between what people show and what they hide.
